The Zoning Hearing Board consists of 3 members appointed by the Board of Supervisors. Their duties consist of hearing the validity of a zoning ordiance, maps or any decision made by the Zoning Officer. In addition they have the power to grant variances and special exceptions to ordiances. A member can hold no other position in the township.

The Planning Commission is a 5 member board appointed by the Board of Supervisors. The primary function is to review all subdivision plans and land development plans in accordance with the ordinances. This is only a recommending body to the Board.
